Match Report: VCF forced to settle for a draw against SFC (1-1)
 
                                    Valencia CF were back in action in a midweek match at Mestalla versus Sevilla FC on Wednesday 30th of October at 7 pm kick-off time (Local time) on Matchday 11 of LaLiga Santander.
Valencia CF and Sevilla FC had a slow start to the game with Sevilla FC exchanging possession moving the ball about when they were on the ball in the opening minutes of the first half at Mestalla.
Carlos Soler, Gabriel Paulista and Maxi Gómez enjoyed successive headers but all three went off target on the quarter-hour mark. Moments later, Kang-In had the first clear-cut chance of the game volleying a brilliant Ferran Torres’ ball across the box but he could not keep it down.
Valencia CF were growing into the as both sides were forced into a change through injury Escudero was replaced by Gudelj and Francis Coquelin who was replaced by Geoffrey Kondogbia under the half-hour mark in a stop-start spell due to yellow cards being shown to players from either side in a tough and eventful encounter.
Lucas Ocampos made 0-1 to Sevilla FC against the run of play and deep into stoppage time. Valencia CF were trailing at half time but with all to play for in the second half.
Valencia CF came all out in the second half looking to get back on level terms early in the second half. Maxi Goméz forced Tomáš Vaclík into a save with a powerful strike but the Sevilla keeper turned it behind for a corner.
Albert Celades shuffled his pack by bringing on Sobrino and Manu Vallejo with the latter having a goal ruled out for offside with just under a quarter of an hour to play and minutes later, Rubén Sobrino headed Valencia CF back level with a towering header across Tomáš Vaclík inside the far post.
Valencia pushed  for the winner by pilling the pressure on Sevilla FC in some pulsating closing minutes at Mestalla with the crowd roaring on for the winner but the scoreline remained unchanged as Valencia CF where forced to settle for a point in a battling second-half performance here Celades’ side were  the better  team Valencia CF will visit RCDE on the 2nd of November at 1 pm kick-off time at the RCDE Stadium.
